Quartersawn White Oak - Quercus alba

Quartersawn white oak is not a different specie compared to regular white oak.  It has the same light to medium brown color with an olive cast.  However, it is cut differently at the saw mill to reveal the medullary ray fleck pattern.  White Oak is strong, beautiful, rot-resistant, easy-to-work, and economical, representing an exceptional value to woodworkers.
